NEWS: Recently
Rutherford Appleton Laboratory ordered a CT1700 Clean-Tent for the ISIS
project. A large scientific instrument was assembled in the
Clean-Tent prior to being installed into a vacuum system. Les Jones, the
senior instrumentation designer on the project, commented that the CT1700
was the best option for the Class 1000 environment that they needed for the
job, because the floor space was only assigned as a temporary measure and the
delivery timescales were tight ( 3 weeks from order). |

Clean-Cube: The Royal Observatory at Edinburgh
recently ordered a custom Clean-Cube in order to protect sensitive camera
instrumentation designed for spacecraft applications. The instruments are
put inside a large vacuum vessel which emulates pressures as found in space.
Performance testing is then carried out. The clean cube was modified with
sliding doors to fit snugly around the chamber body and the whole cleanroom
envelope accredited at better than class 1000 |

"You can't just ask customers what they want
and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll
want something new". -- Steve Jobs |
