| Picture right shows the front face of the
Clean-Hood series 1200 with vertical laminar flow mounted on the
stainless steel bench.
The unit is equipped with all options; the electric pack, the tri fold
door valance, the magnahelic differential pressure gauge and variable
speed fan controller.
Air enters the plenum box through the pre filter that can be seen on
the very top surface of the air box. The air passes through the fan and is
deflected across the HEPA filter before entering the booth area.
The front valence acts as a deflector to ensure that the air flow is
directed onto the work surface before exhausting out to ambient.
When not operational, the tri fold door is closed and the fan is backed
off to approximately 10% of its capacity, giving a clean class100 storage
area on top of the bench. |

The picture left shows an ultra high
vacuum electron beam evaporation component being assembled for use in a
vacuum deposition system at the University of Manchester Nano-technology
Center.
Picture right shows the rear view of the Clean-Hood. The vertical down
flow option uses a much smaller footprint to that of the horizontal cross
flow option since the air delivery system is from above. For most
laboratories that are looking to retro fit such a facility, the vertical
down flow is a cleaner, simpler and quicker ( hence less costly)
installation.
Since the Clean-Hood is basically in 3 sections, it is very easy
to re-site and transport.
Applications include: semiconductor back end fabrication ( eg mask
aligners, wire bonders) biotechnology and life sciences ( eg microscope
booths), Industry and general laboratory ( eg LCD screen manufacture,
print head assembly, PCB assembly) |
